  • Readded process refresh which was accidentally removed. It is now properly using it's workshop version.
  • Tentatively fixed the "double map bug" in end of round votes.
  • Updated "pretty map names" to be in lowercase and using a much more maintainable library. This effects the nominations library and the end of map vote.
  • Workshop maps are now first in the nominations list
  • Removed gscramble and set scramble method back to Valve scramble - gscramble is ancient, massive, and has no real benefits compared to the built in scramble function.

  • Fixed multiple issues related to regular TF2 items not persisting on contact with a resupply cabinet while a custom weapon was equipped (for example, having The Gunslinger equipped with a Crate Smasher would destroy your sentry.)
  • Fixed Sourcebans not properly working on servers directly after the first map load.
  • Fixed Store filtering not working.
  • Fixed /ctfhats not properly saving across servers and map changes.
  • Fixed TF2 Comp fixes occasionally not working.

    • Fixed a bug where the Brick entity wasn't safely marked as "not a brick", causing a "phantom bleeding" bug with other projectiles.

An update for Creators.TF Pubs and Digital Directive was released. Changes will automatically apply after a map change. Major changes include:

General:

  • The client console command, wait, is now enabled on MvM servers.
  • Added MvM Role Pings to the /seed command. MvM pings have a cooldown of 2 minutes per region and 10 minutes per server, and Pub pings have a cooldown of 15 minutes per region. The cooldown time is now displayed to the client when typing the command. Seed ping message for MvM contains mission name and wave number.
  • Added an experimental feature which utilizes and syncs the unofficial community maps in our Pub map rotation to the Steam Workshop. When joining a server that is on an unofficial community map, players will see Updating Steam resources which will now download the map directly from the Steam Workshop. If players want to go ahead and pre-download all of these maps, select the Subscribe to all button on our Creators.TF Community Map Rotation Steam Workshop Collection.

  • "The introduction of this experimental feature is the first stepping stone to our end goals of completely automating our map rotation and proposing a new server download system. This Steam Workshop map synchronization brings several benefits:
    • Map makers can now push updates to their maps which our servers will automatically pull and players will automatically receive.
    • With these maps being hosted through the workshop, there is no need for players to download these maps via our asset pack nor the C.TF Launcher.
    • Downloading these maps from the workshop when joining the server is slightly faster than downloading them from our FastDL, which results in faster server join times.
    Once we feel more confident in this feature, official announcements will be coming along with another rotation shakeup. As always, if you have any feedback or want to report bugs, please let us know on Discord in the #feedback channel."

    "Ever play TF2, and get autobalanced right before the game ends? This is obnoxious, and, in our view, unneeded. If there's 10 seconds left on the round timer, not even the best player in the world is going to make a difference for the team they got autobalanced to, which, more often than not, is losing. There's no reason to autobalance people during tense moments - just wait for the next round, when the game isn't nearly as tense! That's what this plugin does - disable autobalancing people during what are more often than not "tense moments". Hopefully, this should avoid frustrating players, but feel free to leave your feedback about this new feature in the #feedback channel in our discord."

    • Reduced healing required to build a charge from 450 to 350.
    • Increased healing done on hit from 120 to 180.
    • Increased buff duration from 2.5 seconds to 4 seconds.

      Why: The injector often made medics go for a clutch play trying to save a teammate, which was very risky. However, the reward didn't reflect the time needed to build and what you got off of it. The effects didn't last long enough for anyone to truly catch the effect being applied, and the healing was equal or less to that of 2 crossbow arrows which can be fired from a safe distance. The lowered amount of healing needed to be done, and the added health combined with the longer duration, adds up for the increased risk of using this weapon. Better balancing the high risk vs high reward aspect of the weapon.

      Why: The ability to give Uber was too powerful since Uber is a feature that should be exclusive to Mediguns. Since the Uber was given with no warning, players would often think they were getting Ubered with a Medigun when they weren't, which led to many bad pushes and early deaths. That's why we've changed the buff effects that this weapon gives you to less powerful ones. We've also added voice lines for getting a charge and using it to improve communication between teammates. Heal has also been increased to 120 to compensate the nerf.

  • Gamma Gazer
    • Added marked for death when picking up buildings.</br></br> Why: Being able to pick up buildings for cheap and with no downside was a little strong, now it will have the same weakness as the Rescue Ranger, however with some changed utility.

  • Fixed various bugs with ConTracker API.
  • Changed the model of Carry-on Kitty cosmetic.
  • Fixed attachment points of Dust-Bowler cosmetic on some classes.

      Why: Being able to insta-delete sappers rapidly from any distance for free was too good. Considering the spy is doing everything right and is just getting nullified by this weapon. The clip will now limit you to two effective sapper removals in a clip instead of 6. Giving it a similar timing to the regular wrench.

  • Fixed bug with "Kill X in a single life" objective not resetting on death.
  • Players now automatically respawn after changing their Creators.TF loadout while in spawn.
  • Applied various backend changes and upgrades to both website and servers.

      Why: We're still experimenting with this weapon design to see if it's something that fits the game. The reduced build rate with the crossbow should limit how often this weapon can be used.     • Thumper
      • Increased accuracy bonus from 15% more accurate to 30% more accurate.

        Why: While the damage nerf was necessary to keep it from being too good with crits and mini-crits, the aspect of it being the mid-long range sustain shotgun needed to be improved, thus the decrease in pellet spread.

    • Bolshevik Bomber
      • Increased damage from 25% to 30%.

        Why: This slight increase in damage should allow the heavy to kill 175 HP classes with two shots at a further distance. Otherwise the increase in damage doesn't really change any interractions in any major way. As the time to kill and amount of shots stays roughly the same within the effective range.
        This weapon is supposed to be slow and powerful, sort of like a brass beast of shotguns, and we have to make it play that way the best we can.
